weird things are happening here. I just looked up Northern Rock in the data base and got a whole slew of numbers and made the call. 10 minutes later I need to call again and not having written the number down, I look it up again. This time I'm told that are no verified numbers but here are a couple of unverified ones. What is happening here?

That's an easy one.  :-/

If you put Northern Rock into the Company search & add a space after the words, you'll get that same result.
Why ? 'Cos someone has put a space after the entry when it was added.
When you've checked it out, let me know & I will remove it to correct this.

Now try putting a space before the words & you'll only get one unverified entry. That's because a space has been added in front of the words when added or when checking. It's added because this is not an entry with an NGN so this forces it to the top of the pile.

On a similar note to DaveM's suggestion, perhaps you typed northern rock the first time round and then northernrock (without space) the second time around. It picks up some entries without a space because that is what is contained within the web address and those entries have a web address with them, whereas others don't.  ;)

Dave M is right . When I typed a space after the words I just got the unverified entries.
