Title: HM Revenue & Customs - ISA helpline (HMRC) Post by derrick on May 3rd, 2007 at 9:52am
I have just tried the number in the database,(unverified), for the ISA helpline, the NGN is 0845 6041701, the geo number given is, 0161 9319070, the person answering told me that the number I have got through on was the Self Assessment line, he said he could not put me through to the savings helpline,(as mentioned in the database), and that I would have to use the 0845 number, does anyone know the geo number for the ISA helpline, 0845 6041701?
I have tried various numbers in the database, but no one will transfer me to the ISA helpline. ~ Edited by Dave: Thread title amended |

The HMRC contact page on savings is here:
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/spss/contactsav.htm It shows the geographical number for the savings customer relations manager as 0151 472 6406 - worth a try. This number is in Liverpool, the previous number (in the unverified database) was in Manchester. May be they moved. Please report back. |

The ISA helpline alternative number (for 0845 6041701) is not working. It puts you through to the Self Assesment tax number, and they won't tell you an alternative, nor put you through. They asked alot of questions about how I'd got to them and on what number, and I tried to explain to them about the cost of 0845 and they weren't interested and just told me "there is no alternative" and "you'll just have to carry the cost yourself, it how it is"
Helpful as ever, the government. |
