Calling 0870 numbers from BT residential landlines costs:

weekday 7.91 p/min
evening  3.95  p/min
weekend 1.5   p/min

plus in each case a 3p connection charge.

Because it is a telco it is unlikely that a geographical number can be found for the 0870 support number.

Except for the "national rate" malarkey, it seems that you can finally get through to 2nd line technical support without being charged a fortune (if you happen to be with TalkTalk). Wonder if the person that posted it on that forum (they seem to be somehow related to TalkTalk) would be willing to reveal the geographic...

sorry this is late, but the 0870- numbers from talktalk are free of charge and appear  on your bill as you calling talktalk, which is free of charge, all tech support is now free of charge, the 01925 number is not operational all the time so it is best to call the 0870 tech support number.
