I know this is about face but does anyone know who owns the freephone number.
08001979723 as I am getting silent calls from this number I gained it by dialing 1471.
I have already reported to Offcom a couple times.

Have you tried calling the number (withholding your number with 141)? ::)

It is Scottish & Southern Energy and says that you were called by them "with a view to discussing products and services."

It's also the number for SWALEC they just rung me.

Correct !! That is because SWALEC are part of the SSE Group ::)

0800 1979723 is identical to 029 20274000

Ring them back on one of the Cardiff numbers , eg 029 20271002, and request they stop bothering you.
