Hi

I came across www.tvshop.com.

I am shopping from Southern Ireland & I wanted to ring them up. Even though they have some really good products, they are operating a Major Rip off. On a product in the UK which is £29.95, they charge 69€ for the same thing.

Talk about a Rip off :)

Anyway I need the ordinary landline number. As it's Friday the 13th, I am bound to be unlucky with this!

Yes I am aware of the 0870 number to www.tvshop.com I thought we were able to get Geographic landline Numbers here?

Heidy, we aren't magicians I'm afraid. It does take some work to get the phone numbers people require.

A quick 192.com of the provided post code does indeed return "Viking Outsourcing" and the number 01429 241 400. Assuming that DaveM is correct, and the TV Shop has been outsourced to Viking, you could try contacting their switchboard (I assume that is the above number) and see if they can transfer you, or give you a geographic alternative.

Both 192.com and thephonebook.com can be used for finding geographic alternatives. It doesn't always work, but most of the time it returns a geographic number you can use (usually the switchboard).

I rang Viking Outsourcing they are only open Mon to Fri 9 to 5 strange for a TVshopping channel I will try Monday

As I said, that is likely only a switchboard number (which probably isn't open over the weekend). Their website does say that they provide call centres for TV shopping channels, so the call centre will have a different phone number, possibly in the 4xx range (400 being the switchboard).

Oh, I should also point out that the TV Shop website says that customer service is only available Mon - Fri 9 til 5.
