08701 242 402 has been calling every day for the last week or so. I've missed it every time. Anybody know what company it is?

No idea. Google doesn't return any results. The range 08701 24x xxx is owned by Affiniti Integrated Solutions, www.affiniti.com. You can ring their customer services centre on 0800 138 4858 if you want to complain about the number calling you.

To be precise, I think you'll probably find that it's for a Store Card that is managed by GE Capital. Amongst others they look after Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Debenhams, Burtons, Harrods, House of Frazer, Monsoon, Russell & Bromley, & Topman.

So if you have a Store card from any of the big stores, it could well be because of that GE Capital customer services were calling.
Missed a payment again have we ?! ::)

Seems logical as I do have one of those cards, I don't think I've missed a payment >:( I'm very meticulous about paying my bills on time. And surely they should send me a letter via snail mail if I had.

I've been in all day today and have they phoned? NO.

When I was working for them in Leeds, they didn't have sufficient staff on at the weekend for that follow up effort. I doubt that they've increased staff since then even though it is a large operation.

Call them back on the Leeds number 141 0113 2807080 and ask for Customer Services for your card to see what they are trying to contact you for. Try to sound concerned because they've been ringing you so many times and not left an explanatory message.

You'll get put through OK ::)

It was my Evans card. They called again today and I was in.

I said have you been ringing for the last 2 weeks? Quite possibly was the reply.

Oh, that bugs the hell out of me! Ringing constantly for the sake of a "new product" or some survey or something or other. If it was really urgent, then I could understand it, but that is just unacceptable! Especially if you need to ring back on a premium rate number, just for them to tell you about a new product...
