This number was attached to a missed call which appeared on my mobile the other day. I don't really want to phone it as I will be charged, but I am curious as to who or what organisation is using it. I have no other information.

Can anyone shed any light?

Searching with Google on this number drew a blank, however searching for part of the number, 0871 622 4 brought up zillions of travel companies.

Using Codelook from Magenta Systems, this number is operated by Opal Telecomms, part of the Carphone Warehouse Group.

So now you've a choice of two, but I would put a bet on it being the Carphone Warehouse that called you. Did you by any chance buy your mobile from one of the Carphone Warehouse Group ??
Or even the number (if you ported it from another phone) :o
