IntraMed don't seem to exist at that location, but instead 21 QUEENSWAY, ENFIELD, EN3 4FR (according to 192.com) with the geographic number being 020 8805 7805. Wanna give that a shot and see how you get on? :)

...... which suggests that use of a Channel Islands address is just a way of getting around UK VAT.

A Google of that post code reveals a link back to one of our own threads for Cross Hearing.

It may even be a postal sorting office because there's something about the AA bit on GY1 2AA.  :-/

They have freephone numbers: 0800 107 5757 and 0800 298 9970 but only give a PO Box number for their address (PO Box 325, GY1 2RQ) therefore their actual location could not be checked.

Bloody mystery to be honest. Because even checking out the numbers and addresses, it appears there are so many different companies.. None of them hold the account details required to be retrieved to change an order.

Just a quick question, but have you even tried the 020 number I suggested? I know it claims they are based in Guernsey (despite the number of companies at that address, which makes me wonder if its just a virtual address), but the number is atleast worth a try.

of course I tried the number :) Such a shame these companies make it increasingly more difficult., especially for our elderly that dont even use the net and have to resort to paying for the 0870 number.

I have an idea that one can ask for the full geographic address from the Post Office. I am sure that I signed such an undertaking when applying for Private Box numbers for my company; for mail handling rather than hiding since you ask.
Such a shame that Oftel refused the same rules for 084 and 087 - but we did ask...

Ok so my Dad has now fallen victim to this apparent scam, for a miraculous healing bracelet offer also from Intramed. I have done all the usual attempts at finding the company and also found the company based in Enfield, who are trading as Fortuna Healthcare. I have also rang the 0870 1201547 number previously mentioned, and first time it rang, but now it tells me it does not exist. It just makes me wonder how many innocen t victims have fallen pray to these scammers.

When I got through to the 0208 number (quite easily i must admit) the chap at the end of the phone told me that I was about the 16th person to ring since this thread started!!! I would imagine he is about to get a lot more than  that!! He assured me that the company he is working for is in no way assosciated with the company trading from Guernsey, which again could be cast in doubt, but at least he answered. He suggested I should get in touch with the bank to check whether the cheque had been cashed, (which I am obviously expecting it has) and then contacting trading standards. I wonder how much luck we would have with this. It just goes to show how easy it is to rip innocent victims off these dadys, and it doesn't even need to be a sophisticated scam, but it also goes to show that the scammers have no morals whatsoever, as they are praying on the ill and needy who need the medications they are fraudulently selling.

lesson learned, nothing is as it seems until you can physically confirm it exists.

Have just spoken to IntraMed. The 0870 number is to a handling call centre in Romsey, Hampshire. The head office is they say at the St Peter Port address. The email info@artrosiliumonline.com bounced for me, and I've reported that. They gave me another Email: info@healthandharmonydirect.co.uk          They told me that my order payment had been processed at once as they though hey had stocks, then found there was a delay with supplies leading to a lot of back orders. They say mine was sent yesterday, ie one month after payment was processed! Because she was able to see on her screen my address and other details there's just a chance it's genuine. I will report here on its arrival or non-arrival: it didn't come with the postman just now, but if posted from Guernsey it would probably take 2 days, maybe 3, and I forgot to ask if it was sent first or second class!

They sell pseudo-medical products under many different names such as Gel & Magnet Insoles, Arthritis Relief Bracelet, etc. etc. and each has its own website. Apart from an 0871 number the websites give the contact address as:

However, they are not listed in the Geneva telephone directory and this is probably an accommodation address.

Have today received the Artrosilium gel tube from Intramed - took 2 chase-ups, but it has come, just 6 wks after the money was debited! They say they had a sudden stock shortage. So, genuine but terribly slow, and very poor communication and no ordedr acknowledgement. For me topic is now closed!

For all of you who have fallen victim to the Intramed Artrosilium "scam"...I have found the phone number for Intramed's Operations Director.  His name is David Cooper and his direct line is 01794 527474.

I have just spoken to him on behalf of my mother who sent for this stuff on 1st April, cheque was cashed on 20th - no goods received.  I have asked for a refund cheque in First Class post today without fail.  He has asked for the Post code to check & see if the goods have been dispatched & has promised to call me back today.

Someone from Intramed did call me back saying the refund had been sent that day & that if the product turned up in the meantime to keep it with their compliments.

Curiously, the product turned up the next day but it took several more phone calls to David Cooper to get the refund - apparently they only have a cheque run once a week, pity they didn't bother to tell me that in their first phone call which would have saved me chasing it further.

The telephone number to speak to the switch board is 08701201547. I ordered a bracelet and left 3 messages with David Cooper but he does not reply, however the lady said mt bracelet was sent on 20th. Probably stcuk in london now! Good luck y`all
