Does anybody have an 0800 or 01xxx alternative to 0870 242 4320 for car insurance renewals please? Primary of Equity House, Bergholt Street, Colchester CO4 5EY.

And a subsidiary question. Their motor insurance home page quotes the "freephone" number 0870 242 4309 to get a quote. Is this misrepresentation, or can 0870 numbers be free?

Rather than a name beginning with 'Primary', the postcode goes (exclusively) down to:

As a point of interest, the building is adjacent to the main railway station in Colchester - Colchester North - and has had many tenants during it's 20 or so years of life.

Although the above address is shown, their website doesn't list a Colchester (01206) number - only the (Head Office) Brentwood (01277) number is listed for Equity House.  Perhaps they have their own 'internal' network and can transfer calls the 50 or so miles from one to the other.

I'd say they have a whole group of numbers in the 01206 777xxx group.

I'd have gone for 777125 but I reckon they're all in that building so should be able to transfer you (if they ask, "I don't understand it, I dialled 0870 242 4320 and got through to you").
