Title: Record TV
Post by malaki on Oct 17th, 2007 at 5:24pm
Hi guys!

I'd like to ask for help on finding out the geographical number that corresponds to 0870 490 9000. This is the phone number for Record TV, a brazilian TV channel with a "branch" in the UK. This number is displayed to the public to give opinion on their shows. They do not offer any service at this number. Please help. Many thanks.

Well I googled the number and this is what came up.....

UCKG HelpCentre - Official UCKG website (UK) - 24hr Helpline: +44 ...
The helpline number is 0208 686 6000 for English speakers and 0870 490 9000 for Portuguese speakers. Youth Group: This will guide young people to develop ...

Thanks for the information. i've checked it and the phone number for english speakers rings in a different place than the one for portuguese speakers. On top of that, when you call the number for english speakers a recording comes up saying this number has changed to 02087713885 and if you call this last number a BT answering machine answers. I actually need the geographical number that corresponds to the 0870 number.

As Sherbert explained, the information given on the UKCG website was the correct answer given the limited information you supplied.

If you want to talk to someone in Portugese in Brazil, where the 0870 is most probably routed, try calling the Helpcentre number; 0055 (21) 2582 0100 or 0055 (11) 5644 5000(obtained from thier website) using 1899 (4p/min + 5p connection fee) or another low cost carrier.

Very sorry to inform you but there is in all probability NO OTHER Geographical alternative to this number, just like most other overseas routing numbers, no matter how hard anyone looks.

Hi. Thanks a lot for that. The number i am looking for would not be an overseas number. That's because some shows are recorded here anr transmitted to europe only. So i know there is a number which is local in the UK.

Maybe this info could help:

Record TV Network Ltd.
Sandrock Cottages, Petworth Road Northchapel, Petworth West Sussex, United Kingdom
GU28 9HL
Tel: +44 (0) 871 2882 135

although this would be the address for the office, probably different from the studio's address.

I understand it's hard to explain. It is a so called church which owns a tv channel. They're massive!! The addresses on that website are for the churches, not for the studio. Very complicated, huh?

Also found for Record TV Network Ltd.
199-201 SEVEN SISTERS ROAD, FINSBURY PARK, LONDON, N4 3NG

For the 1 Sandrock Cottages address found numerous companies, some of which looked like failed enterprises. They also had different addresses if you look around which may just be the offices as you said. This location could be the studios you want.

Some of those found which seem to be TV oriented are:-

Professional Pacific Ltd; it looks as if company has been wound up.

TV Communications Ltd; it looks as if company has been wound up.

Freeband Ltd; No information found

MAVTV Ltd; it looks as if company has been wound up.

European Television Guild Ltd; Companies House shows active. No contact details.

Curiosity TV; parent Co. Inview TV (No contact details on website) Don't call this number - 07770 746 410 (It's expensive !!)

Parent TV Ltd; parent Co. Inview TV (No contact details on website)  01428 707195. You could give this a try  ::)

What's so expensive about an 07770 number? It isn't another hidden offshore number, is it?

Looking at the info from AVNM, I can't make head nor tail of what's being charged (even going to the links he's provided) and I doubt that anyone else can either.

As you posted it AVNM, could you please give us an explanation that we can understand ?  ::)

Magenta Systems very informative site shows BT Option 1 charges to this number would be 12.5p/min (standard) 7.5p/min (off peak) but I was unable to find what the Mobile rates to it would be.

Can anyone else help please ?

Googling charges 07770 gave
http://64.233.183.103/search?q=charges+07770&hl=en&start=10&sa=N

The fifth link down is
http://www.serviceview.bt.com/list/Public/notifs/04-04-2007/Call_Charges_boo/NotificationPeriodImpl594101631_d0e5.htm

Scroll down to 07770 and you will see it has a charging code of fm5.

When you search on BT for fm5, the link I gave btplc.........................etc comes up.
Now you need to bear in mind that the table given comes from their Business Plan tariff, so the prices will differ from those offered by Dave. But it was just to show the actual target, and the range of pricing, proving it was an ordinary mobile.

Therefore the mobile rate to call 07770 should be whatever your current tariff charges for normal mobile calls. Inclusive or other.

Sorry I was thinking of this..http://www.callsure07050.co.uk/dmclub.html
Now these numbers are expensive, something like 50p per minute.
