I was called today, the phone rang once, and then went silent, I retreived the number and called it, a man called john spoke then a cheesy american woman  asked me to leave a message. They never called back, I was on for about 3 seconds, beware!
Anyone know how to find the callers ID?

Why on earth did you call a premium rate number back when it obviously just dumped its CLI on you with the clear intention of getting you to call back and give them money?

Sorry Heinz for nearly making you blow a fuse, my customers sometimes use 0871 numbers and I thought quite innocently, one had called me, you know, it is called a simple mistake. I just thought someone may be able to help. By the way what is a CLI?

Basically it's the Caller ID. Call centres using modern systems can put any number they like on their CLI (even false ones) to get you to call all sorts of numbers, or just a central Customer Service point.

eg. Your CLI (if you haven't witheld your number) would be your normal number.
