Title: Spanish SIM Top-Up in UK Post by malc77 on Dec 1st, 2007 at 6:45pm
I have an ORANGE Spanish Sim and have to top up every 12 months or lose number and balance. Can I top up by purchasing a top up card in UK? If not whats the best way to do it (without visiting Spain- and without using their website as my Spanish is poor!) Thanks.....Margaret

You could email the executive office: executive.office@orange.co.uk
I have just looked at the Orange Spain website and there isn't an option for English. |

I would be surprised if you can buy Spanish Orange credit through UK.
One possibility is to use Babelfish( http://babelfish.altavista.com/) to translate the Orange wesbite in Spain - www.orange.es |

Not very hi-tech, but do you know anyone over there who could (would?) top it up for you?

Orange Spain have a customer service number where you can ask for an English speaking service agent.
The number is 00 34 656 00 14 70 which is premium rate (around 15p/min). Just say: habla usted ingles? and they will transfer you. It is probably best to call on a weekday. I got the number from the Orange Spain website: http://movil.orange.es/servicio_al_cliente/contacta_con_nosotros/ |

Go into an orange shop and they can help you, Usually Orange will offer £1 for €1 you just need to speak to them to see if it available to you.

Depending which way round the offer is this is either a rip-off or a goldmine :-/ |

The UK's Ofcom "regulated" telecoms industry so goldmine for the operator, rip-off for the caller.

Do you have internet banking with a Spanish bank? I can top-up via the menu on my Solbank account. One low tech solution might be to get someone in Spain to buy a voucher for you and post/e-mail/phone the number to you. The only thing is that in Spain you have a short code number to get to the top-up service and I don't know if there is a full number that you can dial from the UK.
