Title: Insure.co.uk
Post by VivS on Dec 19th, 2007 at 12:34pm
I have just taken out Buildings & Contents insurance with Insure (PO Box 1115, Southampton, SO14 3ZF).  The numbers that they provide are:

Customer Services - 0844 800 2116
Fax - 0870 787 0509
Claims Lines - 0844 800 2164 and
                    0870 608 0017

None of these appear in the alternative numbers search.  There seem to be many versions of Insure - for example Insure & Go which may be related but this is unclear and none of the numbers match with those listed for them either.  Can anyone assist with finding the relevant standard cost landline numbers since I understand the 0844 numbers are fixed rate costs and I like to say no to 0870s!

Many thanks :)

If you go here....

http://www.insure.co.uk/contactus.html

You will see that there are a load of 0800 numbers to contact.

Thanks Sherbert - I had already clocked the one 0800 number on that page (in each section the number they give is the same one) - but that is for quotes only not for use once you are a customer sadly.

So my request still stands if anyone else can shed any light on useful non-premium numbers for this company.

Well, in that case why don't you go to

http://www.insure.co.uk/

On the top of the page click on 'call me'

Leave your details and then they will call you back.....or so they say,,,

Sherbert, thanks again.  Certainly that is an alternative option as and when I do need assistance (assuming my PC is not trashed, stolen etc hence a need for a claim)....
I have no need to call them just yet, and I'm hoping I'll be mishap and therefore claim free for the year, but given claims tend to be emergencies I was trying to pre-empt the numbers to call in advance.  No worries it was worth a try on this forum.

Just a further point Viv, I expect that is why some of these companies give cheap premiums and get their money back on premium calls!! anyway if your computer is trashed or down or whatever, you could always log on at the local library and click on the 'call me' there. Or borrow a friend's machine. Anyway as you say let's hope you don't need to.

From the weblink it seems that they are part of the Equity Insurance Group, it is not clear though whether they are brokers or underwriters. They have offices in various towns, , see
http://www.equitygroup.co.uk/equitygroup/contactus/findabranch.jsp?ref=6#92

In Southampton they are at:

62 London Road
Southampton
Hampshire
SO15 2AG
Phone: 02380 335544
Fax: 02380 230296

Suggest you try this number and let us know if it was the right place.

I have just successfully used the 01638 558140 number for 'Insure' insurance.  I was cancelling insurance and was put through to the correct department.
