Hi Guys,

The number in the verified database for this company no longer works, and on the unverfied number I got a "we are closed" message from the Jessops line. I rang the dreaded 0845 and got straight through, but he wouldn't give me a geographic number("I only work saturdays, I've no idea about this stuff"). Anyone got any more suggestions? I want to get a Camera from there, but I'm loathed to if all they are going to give me to contact customer services with is an 0845 number!

Fax: 0116 231 3888 (This just gives the "Dee Dee Dee" tone from my 3 Mobile)

I've tried 0116 231 2688 as a guess and I just get the same as I do with the fax.

Anyone got any ideas?

A WHOIS of cameras2u.com reveals the following geographic number - 0116 232 645 (which is missing one digit!)

A quick Google revealed this number - 0116 232 6000. Looks like the switchboard number at Jessops. Want to give it a try and see how you get on?

Switchboard closed! We are, however, in Jessops number range. We just need to find the one....

8 - A confused man at "Pronto Support". Part of Jessops, Didn't have a number for Cameras2u

I tried 0116 232 646_ which yeilded:

1 - Rings off (just keeps ringing!)
2 - Jessops Switchboard
3 - Not Connected
4 - Ryan someones answerphone
5 - Rings off
6 - Answerphone
7 - A Jessops area manager - would not give any further details
8 - Not connected
9 - Rings off
0 - Rings off

I'm guessing 0116 2326 _ _ _ must be Jessops block of numbers. I've not got the time to go through them all just at the moment, anyone else got an hour or so to do a few?

According to this, Caroline Vernon is at Jessops Customer Services so she might be someone to follow up to find the geographic.

I've sent a polite message asking if there is a geographic number. We'll see how it goes. If she refuses, I may pass on some "research" I've done on the problems of 08 numbers... wheres that template about them gone from here....
