I am trying to obtain an alternative number for 0871 664 7995. I have checked on their website but they do not show any number on the site. The number I quoted is the claims number and I had to ring it to register a claim but I need to contact themagain, and wondered if there is an alterative number.

According to this page, their contact number is +353 (0) 1 231 4400 (so +353 1 231 4400 if calling from the UK). I don't know how expensive calls to RoI are but I suspect there are some call-through providers that will allow you to call it pretty cheaply.

No worries. Please report back if it is the right number (at least for the company anyway!) as we can probably go from there to find their claims line number (I suspect it will be in the same block of numbers) or if they will transfer you to claims from that number.

Thanks, I just sent my insurance company (not White Horse, they are the underwriters) an email telling them my query, and hopefuly they will be able answer my question, so I won't have to ring, but if I do, I will report back.

Hi my parents are off on holiday in two weeks and have their travel insurance with the above company. We have been looking for an alternative to the number 0871 664 7995 so that if my mother has to make a call it will not be extremely expensive from a mobile.  :-?

As you can see above, the number +353 1 231 4400 was suggested which is confirmed by this listing in the Eircom Phonebook. Beware because this is not a UK number and may therefore be expensive depending on how you dial it. Also consider that this may well be a general switchboard number for the office which is only open 9 to 5 or similar.

I have been looking again at this in an effort to uncover the number or numbers underlying the 0871 number.

The recording on 01 231 4400 says that they are open 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm Monday to Friday.

It is also on 4402 and a number of others. 4410 says that it is extension 210.

I came across this page which gives telephone 01 231 4400 and fax 01 664 3276. Neighbouring numbers to the fax are also for White Horse Insurance.

No idea whether this is Mr House's direct number. There is no White Horse listed in the eircom Phonebook in Co Clare. Interestingly, the 0871 number identifies itself as being "White Horse Administration Services".
