The website address is www.tvlicensing.co.uk Wous be grateful for a steer. Thanks

There are several entries in the database for TV Licensing.

Would you like some help with this?

The TV licence will be free from your 75th birthday onwards. The last year, i.e. now if you are 74+, will be apportioned between a chargeable period up to your 75th birthday and a free period afterwards. All subsequent years will be free.

Return the form and fill in the section for people who will be 75 in the current TV licencing year. It asks for your date of birth. They will calculate and let you know the amount due for this year.

He needs to get what they call a "Short Term Licence"

http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/information/agedover74s.jsp

" I'm 74. How do I apply for a short term TV Licence?

Please call 0844 800 6790 with your current TV Licence number and National Insurance number (if you have these) to hand. You can then buy a short term TV Licence over the phone by debit or credit card. Or, if you prefer, we will send you a personalised letter showing you how much you need to pay and other ways you can pay.

If you are not the current licence holder for your address and you share your home with someone younger, you may still apply for a short term TV Licence. You simply need to transfer the licence into your name, which you can do by calling us on 0844 800 6790. "

Either way he has to call 0844 number unless their is a geo alternative.

the number is 0800 328 2020 (as listed in the database). Don't press any option, wait for the operator to answer. They will transfer you to the correct department.

Please look in the database. There are several confirmed TV Licensing entries, and all the 0800 numbers should provide you with a menu to request an over 74 form.
