How about compiling a list of companies, manufacturers etc. who have geographic or free customer service and support  numbers so that when we come to buying  ,say a new tv set or whatever, we can look them up before we buy and factor in the possible costs of calling their help lines  to our decision, or indeed refuse to buy from those who are trying to rip us off !.

Just an idea, but how about an area on the site where we can save our favourite geog. numbers to for easy reference?

Surely no such list is necessary because any company that offers Freephone or geographic rate phone numbers for its service advertises that fact itself in its Contact Us page.

Also this site has enough trouble keeping up to date with geographic alternative numbers that would not be available to anyone unless it listed them.  By contrast the companies with geographic numbers provide them anyway so there is no need to further clog up this website with information that then becomes out of date rapidly by listing companies who are already doing the right thing.

Of course if reggie feels very strongly that there should be such a list then perhaps he could compile it  and keep up to date the list himself on his own website? :P
