Title: Euphony launch 6 new landline packages! Post by Ben McCarthy on Apr 22nd, 2008 at 1:36pm
As of Monday 21st April Euphony have refreshed there already competitive landline packages.
They can be found on the main Euphony website www.euphony.co.uk What do you guys and girls think? Disclaimer: Yes I do work with Euphony, I am however not trying to sell you anything hence the link to the main euphony page and not mine where people can sign up online. |

No mention of 08*** calls, (that I can see) are they included? If so it looks good. However a minimum of 47p for non free calls seems a bit steep to me. So if you went a few minutes over the hour it would cost you another 47p?

A few things I'd like to point out.
Euphony for most people are not competitive at all on their all-inclusive landline package. A few providers like Sky, TalkTalk and even BT are cheaper than Euphony. Possibly a few more as well. A very expensive (if correct) connection charge of nearly 50pence (as pointed out by sherbert). No mention of the cost of calling 084x and 087x numbers. Unless you rung a lot of international numbers (and didnt use likes of Call18866, etc) as well as landlines then Euphony are expensive. There are many cheaper alternatives for most people. Euphony was one of the first to be lowest on their all-inclusive plan a long time ago (and was even mentioned by MSE Martin) however those days are gone. |

I think their going backwards as
1.They have started to charge for previously free destinations. EG Jamica 2. They have started restricting the number of inclusive minutes you get in a month. 3.Their no longer competive. Eg £7.25 a month for 24/7 geographical calls.BT now only charging £5.95 a month for same without a contract. I note they still cant be bothered to publish their non-geographical rates. Whilst promoting their new Tariffs on this site of all sites Ben, you would have thought you might have bothered to have told us what they are.Or were you too embarrased to mention 4p a minute peak to call 0845, and nearly 9p a minute to call 0870 peak. They also still persist in saying calls are free when in fact they should say inclusive. (Guys if you look at the mimimum call charge of 47p your see its on a Summer 2005 rate card. If my memory serves me correctly it should read 4.7p. If you look at some of the newer rate cards your see their minimum call charge is now 5p.) |
