I wonder if anyone can help with a geographical number for:

On calling this, I was redirected to: 08454 4600000

Obviously I am not prepared to call an 0845 so would be very grateful if anyone has an alternative.   It is in connection with a prescription medication which they have suddenly withdrawn, my GP's surgery has no idea why.

Note that the telephone number is the one you quoted.

A search of BT Directory Enquiries for companies called either viatris or meda within Cambridge and CB5 reveals nothing.

However, a search for meda in CM22 reveals one result:

Thanks for the info, I will try it & post back on the forum.   I did eventually get as far as finding it was part of Meda but could not access their website (the old Internt Explorer cannot...) so this should help, particularly as it has an email address as well.

I have tried the 01279 873620 number and can confirm it works.  It is, however, for their adminsitration department but they can put you through to medical advice.   The direct medical advice number is 01748 828810.   Viatris is now part of Meda.   Should these numbers be entered in the verified database?   If so should they go under Viatris or Meda or both?

Thanks for confirming that Barbara. I have added an entry under Meda Pharmaceuticals Ltd (Viatris) so searching either will pick it up.

I have listed 01279 873620 as the alternative to 0845 4600000 as that appears to be the case as they both answer identically. 01748 828810 is in the Other Info column as "Medical advice".
