Title: Barclays - Andover branch
Post by TVR280i on Jun 11th, 2008 at 10:25am
I see there are many validated geog. numbers for Barclays Bank branches. Can anyone supply one for High Street, Andover, please? They are real stonewallers when I ask at the branch.

Also, can anyone say what techniques they use to find the geog. number, e.g. old Kelly's at the local library?

Thanks - this is my first post so be gentle.

The instructions outline what sort of information you should provide in a request. They also link to the Guide to finding geographical numbers which covers what sort of techniques people use.

I wouldn't hold out too much hope for bank branch numbers as what they tended to do was change them when they brought in central numbers as Barclays has done.

However, we can always try. I would Google the post code of the branch followed by the area code it resides in. Possibly prefix it with "barclays" if that post code brings up too many none Barclays results. Or even "Barclays" followed by area code.

A D'oh and a WhooHoo! I followed the tips and the fourth link produced results of a direct line. I knocked off the final digit and replaced it with a 0. I got the branch's answering machine, but it's a victory of sorts. Thanks for the help. I'll post the number straight away.

The database is not linked to the forum so we have no way of knowing who submitted numbers to the database. The best way to have a number verified is to post a message on the forum. The same applies for any numbers which are currently unverified and work and ditto for those which don't work.

I have verified the entry for Barclays Andover branch, 01264 822500.

Thanks for the thanks and the feedback.

Some people request numbers, and then I and other members provide assistance but they don't bother to come back and say whether it works or thanks.
