I would like to phone Equiniti about the compulsory acquisition of my shares in Selfridges plc. Address: Apect House, Spencer Road, Lancing, West Sussex, BN99 6DA. The number they've provided is 0871 3842883. Can anyone supply a geographic number, please?

Equiniti seems to have lots of numbers (maybe one for the shareholder service of each company they represent?) so it's important that the number should be specific to Selfridges shareholders.

Their website gives the contact number 0871 384 2030 with an "international callers" number of 0121 415 7047. So there most probably is a geographical number for the one you want. It may even be the same number as the one above. It's worth trying that to see if they can help you.

Presumably this is what was the Lloyds Bank Registrars' Department? Might that help to identify some numbers?

A Google of "0871 384 2883" reveals a page on O2 with the alternative 0121 4157593.

0121 4157593 - Many thanks, this worked. After I selected the final 'option' it took about 5 minutes for someone to answer, but it was the right person.
