If anyone has any updates or additions to the City Link entries, please post on this thread instead of using the contact page or adding another entry to the database as any messages posted here will be acted on quickly.

I have just tidied up the entries for City Link. As it has acquired Target Express, I expect that some depots will close, and hence numbers may change. For example, Edinburgh is now served by the Livingston depot and calling the Telford (01952) number diverts to the Shrewsbury depot.

You can find the address of your local depot from the City Link contact page.

I wonder if it is actually necessary to contact the depot your parcel is at as it will all be automated. For this reason there are probably suitable numbers even if the exact one which relates to you isn't there. For example, I understand that Milton Keynes will deal with many areas on 01908 280280 or straight into an operator on 01908 280260 /1 /7 /8.

City Link Widnes Depot: 0151-495-4777

For the Birmingham (Nechells) depot, the alternative number of 0121 322 4100 is already listed on the database (and I can confirm that it works), but the 0870 number that was printed on the card they left me isn't: it's 0870 864 7122.

There are 2 Chelmsford branches, the one currently on the site was previously Target Express and identified as such.

I was told that they still have separate distribution channels and often redirect enquiries as they cant access each others database.

I was given a wrong contact number by another City-link branch for Chelmsford 01268726724 - but was for a different company altogether.

Thanks. Yes it is in the Merton Industrial Estate. The problem I had is that it covers the Croydon area and I did not associate that with Wimbledon when looking on your site and I am a seasoned saynoto0870.com user.  It would be very helpful if you could add a note that it covers Croydon.

Search the database for city link There is a link near the top for finding your local branch, on which you can enter your post code and it will tell you the address of the office that serves you. Maybe we could be make clearer this procedure.

It would be impractical to put the areas that depots serve as, for example, part of Croydon may be served by one depot and part by another. We have no way of knowing whether this is the case and of course City Link could redefine the boundaries as it sees fit.

Thus, the best way is to refer to the post code checker to find one's local branch.

Note too, that the number will  (correctly) show in the database as  020  8542  3132.

Tried the number for  City Link Basingstoke, auto replied with some sort of computer equipement. did a search on the net and found this one.... 01256 812 929, found to be correct, very helpful staff.

That number is listed as verified for Basingstoke already.  :-/

Just picked up a card left by the Glenrothes depot. The number on the card is listed as 08444 724 949. This number isn't on the site.

Thankfully you did have the "short cut"! :D

They are shown in the 2009/2010 BT Cardiff area Directory, as Initial City Link based In Portmamoor Road Industrial Estate.
They have moved (some time ago) to Moy Road Industrial Estate, Taffs Well, ('googling' them will confirm this) with a landline number of (029) 2081 5400.

Thanks for posting about this. I've replaced the Cardiff numbers with this new number, updated the locality and removed the entry for Cwmbran, as this is now not recognised and someone submitted an entry saying that that depot had been closed and sorting for that area moved to Cardiff.

There are two City Link depots in Chelmsford. Which one do you want?

City Link's depots are listed one its website.

We have entries giving an alternative for each Chelmsford depot. The number for Springfield, 01245 399844, is verified and the number for Waterhouse Business Park, 01245 495904, is currently unverified.

I was given the number 01908 280250 as the direct number for Customer Services and it is therefore an alternative to 08444 930 932 as shown on the City Link web page for tracking information (and given in some unverified entries). However, don't expect too much "service" it is often engaged or you get a message refusing to accept the call because they are too busy!

I've removed numbers for a number of depots that have closed. City Link's Managing Director has recently stepped down following the company's admission that it has gone too far closing depots and cutting staff.

Thanks for reporting this. It appears that quite a few numbers in that range have the same redirector recorded message on and this includes a fax number we had for Milton Keynes (Maidstone Rd, Kingston, Milton Keynes, MK10 0BL).

Those that redirect are:

01908 280231
01908 280240
01908 280250
01908 280380
01908 280388 (fax for Milton Keynes depot)


Also, 01276 606200, which was the head office switchboard at Camberley (Riverbank, The Meadows Bus. Pk, (Off Station Approach), Blackwater, Camberley, GU17 9AB) is now not recognised.


01908 280280 still goes to City Link Customer Care so I have made this the alternative in place of all the above.

Amazon has a page on City Link delivery problems and quotes the number 0330 303 0900 which is answered by the same recorded announcement as 01908 280280.

Have just got through successfully calling the new number for Beckenham (note the old number in the Verified section is no longer working).  I called today on  020 8768 4011, got me through fairly quickly to a human operator who then managed to contact the depot for me. She asked for consignment number etc so should be able to be used for all areas, I guess.
