Has anybody been succesful in finding a geographic number for TalkTalk fault reporting. It is really annoying that the number they give you for reporting faults is free if dialled from the phone with the fault, but if as is likely you have a fault on your home line you cannot use it to call them. They do quote 0800 numbers BUT if you want to call from a mobile (highly likely if home phone broken) then you have to pay at extortionate rates.

You can call freephone numbers at geographical rate from your mobile by using the dial through number 020 0222 0900.

Dial the 020 number, then when it answers it will ask you to input the destination 0800 number, which you do.

Yes as above

Or use the pause character on your phone (e.g. on a Nokia press * 3 times to get p), so compose 02002220900p08000xxxxxx then dial that. If it's a number dialled often, it can be saved like this in the phone memory.
