Website: www.motorandhomedirect.co.uk
It is a Brightside Group Company. From Brightside's contact page: Brightside Group plc MMT Centre, Severn Bridge, Aust, Bristol BS35 4BL Telephone: 01454 635860 Fax: 01454 634187 Not at the same address, but a starting point nonetheless. Scrap that! A search of the database for motor & home direct (note the ampersand [&] rather than the word "and") reveals two likely candidates: Motor & Home Direct 0870 4204994 01803 617940 Motor & Home Direct 0870 4204999 01803 617930 Switchboard: 01803 617900 Also unverified is a note referring to the switchboard number as an alternative: "If you phone to claim you are kept in a queue for ages. If you want to get through quick press 1 for new policies! The claims number will ring even if the office is unmanned! How bad is that!" Let us know how you get on. It looks as though this company has switched from 0870 to 0845 so entries need amending. |

I called on the 01454 635860 number and managed to get through to the department i needed without any trouble. For anyone else using this number my issue was about an insurance policy i ended in October even though my car had been written off in October and they had paid out a total loss cheque in November. The company started taking direct debit payments for the renewal and were demanding the full years payments. (partly my own fault as i had not cancelled the direct debit straight away at the end of the term) I assumed that as they had written off my car and paid out that was the end of it. (Lesson learnt) Thanks for your help. Hilary
