Title: Bath Bus Station - First Bus/First Group
Post by Andrew POULTON on Feb 28th, 2009 at 3:16pm
Hi Bit of a long shot as the searches on google and the forums jusy give the same number which does not work [01225 311783]

FIRST BUS
CUSTOMER SERVICES
BATH BUS STATION
Takes queries and complaints

Non Geo is   0845 606 4446

I wish to use my free minutes on the mobile to complain why the bus has not arrived [again]
If no luck I will ring First Bus HQ monday and see what they have to offer.

Thanks Andrew

Isn't that a travel agents? I think this person wants First, the bus company.

sherbert, I think that the number you've found is for the holiday company First Choice rather than First Bus.

The 0845 number for First is listed on BT Phonebook.

The home page for First Bus services for Bristol, Bath and the West is here.

The contact page gives the full address as:

First Travel Shop
Avon Street Bus Station
Corn Street
Bath
BA1 1UF

You can contact them by e-mail using the form here. I guess that because the service covers "Bristol, Bath and the South West" that the 0845 number may well go either to a central office for First in that area or First nationally. So finding a number for the First Shop in Bath Bus Station might not be of any use.

A number given for corporate sales is a Bristol one. We have a number for First Buses Bristol: 0117 955 8211. This is confirmed by BT Phonebook.

Alternatively, you could e-mail management directly. A list of them is here. E-mail addresses are firstname{dot}lastname{at}firstgroup{dot}com

This page also gives:

Quote:
Company details:

First Bristol Limited. Registered in England & Wales No 01966277, Registered Office, Enterprise House, Easton Rd, Bristol, BS5 0DZ

First Somerset & Avon Limited. Registered in England & Wales No. 00025088, Registered Office: Oldmixon Crescent, Weston-super-Mare

Oldmixon Cresent is in post code district BS24. A search of BT Phonebook for first in bs24 reveals:

First Badgerline
Head Office
Tel: (01934) 620122
Weston-S-Mare, BS24 9AG

I gather "Badgerline" is what the service was before it was swallowed by First Group.

Please let us know how you get on so the number(s) can be added to help others.

;)Thanks Dave.
All the numbers researched are 9to5 and days but I will pursue monday to get a non geo for the bus station for the future.
I have Emailed them before but there is nothing like a call at the time to tell them one of there Buses is missing !!!

The 0845 number actually goes to the Bus Station and using a call divert from this site at 1/2 p a minute rang them and got a friendly guy to explain. [Did not use mobile though]

[As an aside they were not known locally as 'Badgerline' but 'skunk trucks' !!! ;D]

Thanks again

Regards Andrew

The other alternative is that calls might be answered by First's own call centre company FirstInfo. The website shows they do sales for its railway operations, so I don't know whether it helps here.

Google badgerline 01934 and badgerline 0117 will return numbers which were in use when it was branded Badgerline. I doubt Google will recognise "Skunk Trucks" as an alternative name.

This page gives Badgerline, 0117 9553231.

These numbers might still be in service and could be the ones that the 0845s point to.

I will leave you to Google some more and see what you find.

0117 9553231 is the number of the First switchboard Mo-Fri only.

Out of hours and for travel enquiries a recorded message directs to 0871 200 2233 for which there are lots of geographic alternatives in the database

As an aside to this thread - First PMT around stoke are ****ing awful too. I've emailed them before and their response could be summed up with one word "Meh".

I decided not to buy a pass last spring, and instead spent half the cost of the 3 month bus pass on a second hand bike and got fit and got around for alot less. Not a solution for everyone, but it reduces the criminal amount of money I have to hand to first.
