Title: iVal
Post by krankie_frankie on Jun 1st, 2009 at 6:43pm
Would be very very grateful if someone could get me a number for these that doesn't cost the earth to phone.

The number I have is 08458826688 And please don't suggest the email address for them. I have sent about 5 emails in the past 3 weeks and have yet to get a reply to any.

As for the number I reckon I have spent about £15 phoning them last month. I really need to phone them again in the next day or two, so if anyone can help I would forever be in your debt (instead of my mobile phone companies!

Can you give us some more details about this company please.

By the way, 0845 numbers are 'free' from BT land lines depending which 'option' you belong to.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have an insurance claim going through with Norwich Union for various different items that got water damaged when the flat above me decided to flood me out. Norwich Union have appointed a company called iVal to sort the claim for my washing machine/cooker. iVal are messing me about big time. I don't have a BT line only a Virgin phone line. Plus I haven't been home when I have needed to phone them and have had to use my mobile. Last time I called it cost me £3.60 for 18 minutes! I average about 10 minutes on hold every time I phone them as well!

I presume that you are referring the company at www.ival.co.uk

You said you had been emailing them, but you didn't provide it. If you have such information for a request, please provide it.

The website is under construction but gives the address:

Technology Business Park
Moy Avenue
Eastbourne
East Sussex
BN22 8LD

Telephone 0845 602 9604
Fax 0870 850 2147

Whois ival.co.uk (that's a look-up of the registration information for the internet address):

Domain name:
        ival.co.uk
    Registrant:
        Powerplay Direct Ltd
    Registrant type:
        Unknown
    Registrant's address:
        Technology Business Park  Moy Avenue

There is a alternative request thread for Powerplay Direct here.

Some unverified entries for Powerplay Direct in the database give 01323 430488 and 01323 418520.

Well, from what you are saying, your insurance company is Norwich Union. If that is the case then it is them you should be dealing with, in my humble opinion. If they choose to sub contract that is their problem. I know of someone who had a flood and was not impressed with the workmen that the insurance company used. He asked the insurance company to sort it out and not the company that was working on the house, and the insurance company sorted it, fired the workmen and put a new team in.

My advice is to get back to Norwich Union, after all it is to them you pay the premiums.

Believe it or not my insurance is with the post office!! Norwich Union are the underwriters.
I have already phoned Norwich Union to see if they can transfer me through to Ival, was told they couldn't.

Tried the numbers in the other post, no joy I'm afraid.

Ok, just phoned the post office and they say they only collect the payment each month and I really need to speak to Norwich Union. She also said if they don't help then ask them about the complaints procedure.
Just phoned NU and got a message to say phone between 9am and 5pm. So will try them tomorrow.

Sorry, read your post the other day and forgot to reply!

All got sorted in the end, after a big push from NU.

Infact after 2 months without a cooker and washing machine I finally bought them today.
