I know you have put it in comma's, but lets start calling these numbers by their true description, that is "inclusive", nothing is "free" especially from BT!  ;)

Electrical 123 is part of the Co-op and the address on its contact page is given as:

The last two digits of the number have been swapped in the Electrical 123 entry, so it might be a typo.

Try 0161 834 1212 which is main switchboard no for CO-OPERATIVE GROUP LTD
at the "contact us" address given on the 123 site.

This is the same as sister operation Coop Electrical Shop, which is also run by Co-operatives E-Store Ltd.

Perhaps that was because "Electrical123" is just one trading name of Co-operatives E-Store Ltd. Maybe asking for the latter, the operator will know what you are referring to.  :-?

Well it's their decision to make it so difficult to contact them. Not to mention the fact that they lie about their 0845 numbers being "local rate".

The Coop Electrical website and the Electrical 123 website contact pages both purport this falsehood, as too do the recorded messages which answers each outlet's respective 0845 number.

0845 was only ever "local rate" from BT due to the way in which its retail charges for 0845 numbers is kept low by regulation. Thus 0845 is actually a premium product, so it is totally absurd to suggest that it will be cheaper than a national call (which the use of "local rate" infers). When will these people learn!  ::)

All in all, I'm in a good mind to list this number as the alternative for Coop Electrical and Electrical 123, with a note to say that it is the MD's number. If they would prefer not to receive calls from customers on it, then they can give us the 01/02 number for customer services.

Given the emphasis the Co op put on the word "ethical" in all their marketing blurb, it`s disappointing that they employ the unethical practice of forcing their customers to use expensive 0845 numbers AND misleading them with the phrase "local rate".
I say list the MD`s number.

He apologised, but said that they "do not have any number apart from the 0845 one!!  I couldn't shift him on this, so he is either a very good liar, or he is very thoroughly brainwashed!  But I cannot believe that the Coop is clever or deviant enough to brainwash their staff!  Perhaps James Holland, Managing Director, controls his staff by remote control!
I'm giving up!!  I shall shop elsewhere.   :'(
