I have just come across a newspaper article that refers to an  08353 number.  Does anyone know anything about it?

It's not a valid number under the UK telephone system - there is no such range as 083.

Potters Bar residents warned over 'bogus' charities should also be warned about both bogus and rip-off phone numbers.

Or one of the following numbers could be used if 0845 are outside/not in a calling plan, you are calling from a mobile or a payphone; -
