We tried the landline provided in the two Good Energy listings, 01249 766090, and it got us through to National Grid! So perhaps that needs sorting... :/ Hope that helps!

Maybe the National Grid own them?

According to their web site   http://www.goodenergygroup.co.uk/contacts.asp  their number is

01249 766090

So, perhaps there is some connection?

Presumably this is the main switchboard, so ask for customer services.

We asked for Good Energy but they said it was the wrong number. Will perhaps email good energy and ask. :)

If it is indeed the wrong number, I suggest when you email them, ask them why that number is on their web site.

Absolute rubbish. I have just tried the 01249 766090 number and it is answered with the same recorded menu identifying itself as "Good Energy" which is on both 0845 456 1640 and 0845 601 1410.  :-?

Dave, I think you mis read my post. I did not say 'it is the wrong number' I said 'IF it is the wrong number'. :o

How weird. We dialled it and got a real human being straight away, and they said it was the wrong number! We must have misdialled. Sorry to cause you trouble! :/

Lottiotta, you haven't caused us trouble.

My thoughts on this are that 01249 766090 could be the main switchboard number, answered by a human during office hours. If so, then perhaps they put it through to the customer menu (same as 0845 numbers) out of office hours. So you might call again when they are open and get straight through to someone who claims they cannot help you or redirect you.

So what is the geographical number for the menu on the 0845 numbers? I suspect that it is on one of Good Energy's other numbers. I tried 01249 766091 through to 099 and the menu is also on 01249 766099. It may be the case that when they open, it will still be the menu. Try it during office hours and let us know. If it is, then I will update the database entry.

It is now during the weekday so they will be open. I've just tried all these numbers (0845 456 1640, 0845 601 1410, 01249 766090 and 01249 766099) and they are all answered by the same menu, so I don't see that there is an issue with them. I've added to the database entry the 766099 as a secondary alternative.
