What is Western Union? The instructions ask you to give us as much information as you can. The 08 number you want a geographical number for, web address, postal address, just for starters. We are not mind readers in trying to assess what you want.

Your original post was like asking us what is the number for Joe Bloggs plc

It is not a case of what information should be put into the request, but what information do you have in your possession?

This forum is made up of voluteers. You come on here to ask for help finding a number rather than asking for a number and we give it.

I refer you back to the instructions that give you an idea of the types of information.

Please also use proper English, and not text speak in your postings.

Tommy...

Dave & I  keep asking you to supply more information and still you wont, why not? If you need help, we need you to help us to help you. We are not mind readers. We are just ordinary people doing this in our free time to help others. I have asked you for address and web address and still you could not be bothered to supply us with this. Anyway I have done the spade work for you to bring this thread to a close and have come to the following conclusion....

This looks to be an Irish outfit and I am not so sure whether we are able to find numbers for foreign companies.

According to the information you have provided us with:
  • Western Union is a company that lets you transfer money all over the world.
  • You have no number to which you are looking for an alternative for.
  • You do not know the address of this company.
  • You do not know the website address of this company.
  • You wish to contact this company but don't know why. You have acquired the urge to do so.

If I was you, I would be asking myself why I am entrusting my money with a company that I have no information on other than its purpose.

Right. We've been along this road before. There is an existing thread for Western Union which has some numbers on. Please post any feedback over there.

"Freephone" (0800/0808/0500) numbers can be called from mobile phones using the dial-through number 020 0222 0900. More on this on MoneySavingExpert.com here.

Hi
I've been trying to contact 0800 3581701 which is the alternate number for 08082349168 but it doesn't go through. I want to add that I also tried them at 0800833833 but the lady said I should try the 08082349168.

Is there another 0800 number I could get to the online section. basically Ive made a transfer but they won't approve it unless I call this number.
thank you
Ann

Good Afternoon Ann,

I have just dialled 0808 234 9168 from a land line and after around 15 secs wait it connected and was ringing with an international tone.  This would make sense as according to the Western Union page here the alternative they list is a +32 number which is the dialling code for Belgium.

What problems have you experienced exactly?

The other number listed 0800 833 833 is for general enquiries.
