There is an entry in the unverified numbers database for Cargo HomeShop (www.cargohomeshop.com ):

The number listed on the web site for enquiries is 0844 848 3300 (it has probably been changed from 0870 recently like many others).

Anyway, I used the 01844 261800 number and it got me through to Cargo, so it can probably be treated as verified. Just to confuse matters, the number is listed as belonging to J W Carpenter Ltd here: www.ioxfordshire.co.uk/profile/258434/Thame/J-W-Carpenter-Ltd/

In answer to my specific query, which was about curtain samples, Cargo ended up referring me to another web site, www.homestylestores.com , which turns out to be just a brand name used by Cargo, and the contact number given is 0844 848 3300! So I ended up phoning that number anyway, and spoke to the same person as answered on 01844 268100 - case proven I think!

The design of www.cargohomeshop.com and www.homestylestores.com is the same, as is the 0844 848 3300 contact telephone number. They also identify that they are by JW Carpenters as the copyright 2007 text says at the bottom of every page.

I've listed this entry as verified with a note to say that it applies to the Homestyle Stores online shop as well. The 0870 011 2119 number is now out of service, so I have removed that.

Ah yes, I should have spotted that Copyright.

Incidentally, why doesn't a search for "Cargo" return this entry? "Cargo Home" does, but most people would probably just search for Cargo.

Thanks for pointing this out.

I forgot to move it to the verified listings so when you looked for "Cargo Home" it returned only that entry on blue background, which means it's unverified.

I've now moved it to the verified listings.
