Title: Warning about GoodDaddies.com Post by DaveM on Dec 23rd, 2009 at 11:05pm
Good Daddies
0845 224 0736 / 0845 224 0738 - 020 3039 5914 All numbers get routed to a mobile (except the Fax) which the person I was taking to eventually cut the connection, as by then I had sussed that all their numbers (above) routed to the same person, tying both conmpanies. Same thing on the Geo number BTW. While I was checking the numbers submitted for the database, I found an anomoly as they also led me to another company, Pentagon Finance International, to whom the person I talked to denied affiliation. Now if you check contact info on both the websites, you'll see what I mean. The look & feel of the Good Daddies website is decidedly Amateurish, with obvious errors, as does that of the Pentagon Finance International, if you look around a bit. I have a strange feeling about these two companies. Does anybody else get the same vibes as me ?! |

Yes, and that's from a very brief look at their website! It's a standard template from what I can tell, with most of the information missing. Is this a job for Trading Standards perhaps?

I was thinking the same, but I bet no-one is there till next week !! I'll give them a try tomorrow anyway.
0845 224 0737 to Tunde Olagunju went straight off - his mobile was NOT connected. The names of the Partners at Pentagon are a bit of a giveaway methinks. Nigerian connection maybe ?? Anyone else see a Caveat emptor written all over this !! |

You could be right Dave. All looks very dodgy to me. I certainly wouldn't trust any company that can't design a really website, or that looks like it is just some template they've downloaded off the Internet. Hopefully anyone that has come across this 'outfit' has thought the same and not bothered to deal with them.
PS: Looks like Consumer Direct are open for business tomorrow - just make sure to use one of the geographic alternatives ;) |

I have a feeling that at least one person has dealt with them, the person that put the number into the database for approval. I hope that they see my post and comes back with a comment.
Thanks for the link JG. I'll have a try tomorrow. Have a good Christmas OM ! |

But unfortunately there are quite a few totally dishonest companies with totally convincing looking websites. |

True - a good website does not a good company make!
