The current number is free to call from a landline, or you can use one of the many freephone call through numbers to call it at geographic rates from a mobile (for example, 0800buster)

Or ring the BBC Northern Ireland switchboard and ask to be put through. The number is in the database.

Hi Fairtelecoms,

Unfortunately BBC HR direct is a separate company from BBC so when you call BBC switchboard in belfast all that they do is give out the 0800 no.

Look-up of capita in belfast in BT Phonebook returns:

This is the same address, so is probably switchboard for this Capita office; see if they will put you through.

Hi,

Yes the company is Capita. I tried the number and it goes to a voice message that says you cannot leave a message and the call cannot continue.

Any other thoughts on getting the local number?

Which number have you tried? The 0800 or the 028 number?

0800 no works. 028 not.

As I only have mobile with inclusive calls was looking for a normal landline. 0800buster is perfect for this.

Now determined to get actual local no.

When I called 0800 no I asked for local number and they declined.

Same female voiceover as is on 0800 number is on BBC recruitment line: 0370 333 1330
