Sorry for the delay, the address is
PO Box 741
Leeds
LS1 9HB

If it helps whenever you speak at the TMPP Unit, they all seem to be Irish

Hi

I believe the HBOS mortgage protection insurance is administered by St Andrews Group in Leeds & there are some geo nos on the database for them.

Let us know if any work.

This is useful, although we should be mindful that this is a PO Box and not a physical location.

As mainbass says, policies are administered by St Andrews Group. A Google of the post code takes us to Important Information page on Bank of Scotland website.

GAP Plus

We are responsible for the advice we give and for arranging your policy. Because we place some of our insurance with one insurer, we can only advise you about the cover provided under our scheme with that insurer.

This cover is underwritten by St Andrew's Insurance plc (registered in England No. 3104671) (The Insurer) whose Head Office is 1 Lovell Park Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 1NS and Registered Office is 33 Old Broad Street, London, EC2N 1HZ.

General enquiries, Claims and Complaints should be directed to: PO Box 741, Leeds, LS1 9HB.

St Andrews Insurance plc is a Bank of Scotland Group Company.

I'm not sure whether this is a "GAP Plus" policy, but the important point is that PO Box 741, Leeds belongs to St Andrews Insurance.

St Andrew's Group's website is http://www.st-andrews.co.uk/

Its Customer Zone page gives that PO Box address and phone numbers for claims for customers with various providers such as Alliance & Leicester and Egg, although Halifax/HBOS isn't on there.

You can request a call back through the form:
http://stand.goosecreative.com/contact_form.php

The operations location page gives an address in Ireland, which would probably explain the Irish accents of the people the OP has spoken to on the 0845 number:

Dromore House,
East Park,
Shannon,
Co. Clare

A call to the 0845 600 1194 number now they're closed identifies itself as "Halifax Insurance Ireland Limited". St Andrew's Group Ireland website is ]www.st-andrewsgroup.ie

At the bottom of pages it says:

Quote:
St Andrew's Group is a registered name for Halifax Insurance Ireland Ltd, a private company limited by shares (registered in Ireland, number 323923) whose registered office is situated at Dromore House, East Park, Shannon, Co Clare. VAT registration number: IE6343923R.

The contact page gives telephone 061 477 000 and fax 061 477 019. To dial from the UK, drop the leading 0 and prefix with 00353.

Following on from this lead, I believe that the alternatives to 0845 600 1194 are 00 353 61 477 012 and 00 353 61 477 013 as they answer with exactly the same recording, albeit that the 0845 number answers after one ring but the geographic alternatives trip after two rings.

You might find a call provider like 1899 is cheapest if you wish to ring one of these Irish numbers.
