Have you checked the database? There is a confirmed entry for Barclays Telephone Banking and an unconfirmed entry for Tunbridge Wells.

Please try the unconfirmed entry and then let us know whether it works or not.

as my message implies I did use the search engine and have now located the barclays telephone banking data. Still can't find T Wells tho . Maybe the unconfirmed is my earlier search for it?

As jgxenite says in his post there is an unconfirmed number in the database for    73-75 Calverly Road Tunbridge Wells being 01892 793013. Always worth looking on the database first before making a request. If it works please post back here, so it can be put on to the verified section. If it is no good also let us know so it can be deleted.

jgxenite was quite right to direct you to the database and in particular it can be necessary to search by either company name or 0845 number.

You say you have now located a number for telephone banking which works as an alternative to 0845 734 5345; so please post it here so I can add it to the listings for others to use.

As jgxenite says, we have unverified entries for Tunbridge Wells branch, 01892 793010 and 01892 793013. As I said, if you search by company name, they will appear. Please let me know whether they work or not, and if not, why not so I can update the listings accordingly.  :)

Barclays is irritating in that ALL branch numbers are 0345 7 555 555. You get directed when
you key in your own account info.

The database search engine returns results based on the exact text when searching by company name. So if you entered barclays tunbridge wells in, it will not find anything as there is no entry with that text in as a continuous string.

You need to search by company name barclays which will give you a long list of entries. Using your find feature in your browser, you can then look for the 01892 STD code.  ;)

Not at all.  As with most such search tools, less is more.

If you insert Barclays, the search shows all entries with that word in but, if you insert Barclays Bank, the search shows all entries with BOTH words in (which, obviously, is fewer entries).

No there aren't.

When you search for barclays it finds all entries including those with the company name Barclays Bank because they contain the word "barclays". Entries appear in alphabetical order which means that Barclays Bank entries come after those called Barclays. Thus, entries for Barclays Bank are at the bottom.
