Title: Local landline number of UK all over the world Post by malcolmcallow on Sep 12th, 2010 at 7:08pm
;)
Hello Dave I am thinking to provide a service to international community living in UK. We will introduce a device which is quite similer to Vonage. We will give a local number of UK 01/02/ or 03 on that device. That device can be pluged in to a Broadband. This device will be sold in UK to all international customers who spend money on calling cards. They can save money by sending that device to their home country and plug into the broadband. They will plug a handset with that device. We want to introduce this device after some survey. Would you be able to help us to introduce this device? The one off connection price is going to be 50 Pounds and monthly bill will be 2 Pounds. This device will only receive calls. You reply will be much appreciated. Thank You Malcolm |

You do not need this device because the service is available via Skype

One must ask, what does this proposed solution provide that existing ones don't? And how does the cost compare?

I don't know of any advantage because SKYPE is available on every computer and even the international calls are very competitive
There may be an advantage but if there is I can't see it. |

SKYPE Is not available on every computer unless a computer user chooses to install it and have an appropriate soundcard and/or headset. That is the whole point. And even a person with SKYPE cannot be called by the very many computer users who do not have SKYPE or know how to use it. However the proposed service by the OP already exists and is free of charge (for incoming calls to a UK landline number on any exchange provided free of charge) with www.sipgate.co.uk So I would agree that for this reason I cannot imagine the proposed service being commercially successful. |
