If a number is found and found to be an alternative members post it on a thread, then Dave will add it to the verified list on the database.

When we look for numbers on behalf of others, we (or I) do it by using the postal address to find the geographical number, or looking on the Companys House web site and other such sites for clues.

We are not always successful in finding geographical numbers and then give some advice on what to do as an alternative, hence my advice in my post about using the contact form.

Others here more knowledgeable than me may have some luck in finding a number for you.

Remember not all numbers may have a geographical alternative

It would be reasonable to assume the 0845 number may direct to Jersey, in which case an 01 number is not to my knowledge included in your calling minutes. (Someone correct me if I am wrong)...

Have you tried calling Tesco on their FreePhone number? Maybe they can assit you..

I rang 0800 505555 and they only deal with store issues they gave me another No 0845 7225533 which is different to the one posted on there site but doesnt really help.

Thought it may help though in obtaining different number.

If you put that number (the 0845 one) into the database, you will find a lot of alternatives

They did say press option 3 for tesco entertainment.

Even when you put number in search still nothing for tesco entertainment.

Looks like it may be one that doesn,t have a different number ?

The SAYNOTO0870.COM alternative numbers database is about everyone sharing numbers they find. It is about all people pooling known alternatives, as opposed to a select few finding alternatives for others to use for "free".

Finding numbers is like playing detective, looking for clues that might tell us where calls may be answered and lead on to a suitable alternative.

Online shops can be outsourced to a third party. Tesco Entertainment used to be operated by TheHut.com. I know this because I found the geographic number to TheHut's office that used to be for Tesco Entertainment.

I would think that a company as big as Tesco could well run this itself. The addresses posted above by CJT-80 are the registered addresses of Tesco Stores Limited and Tesco (Jersey) Limited, and thus they may not be the same addresses which they operate from (and from which telephone calls are answered).

I was going to suggest ringing 0800 505555, which I believe is answered in Tesco's Dundee office. This is because it may be that telephone calls for all various parts of Tesco are answered in the same office and not at the location where products are despatched.

I have just looked at the entries listed alongside 0845 722 5533, all but one of which are unverified. Most of these are apparently for the online grocery departments of certain branches, so I suggest that these are not general alternatives.

Indeed, when one orders groceries from Tesco, they are despatched from the local supermarket and not a central warehouse. This (I assume) is unlike Tesco Entertainment which deals from one or a few warehouses and sends goods out by a postal/courier service.

The main number for the head office in Cheshunt is 01992 632222, and it might be worth trying that and seeing if they will put you through.

Just rang H/O on number given and they put me through to customers services again who gave me the 0845 number again, switchboard said that is the only number they have.

Pity but it looks like its 0845 if i need to ring them.

This rather suggests that calls to Tesco Entertainment's 0845 number are not dealt with by the same call centre that deals with other parts of Tesco supermarkets.

At present, we haven't established where Tesco Entertainment operates from. As a customer, perhaps you could shed light on this. Maybe a returns address or "If undelivered, return to" given on packages.

It is important to be aware that this is a PO Box address, and not a physical location, although it's likely that the organisation that operates it resides in BL6.
