This is the number for Safeguard insurance caravan breakdown recovery, by definition it is most likely that this call for breakdown assistance would need to be made from a mobile phone thus incurring charges despite it being a freephone number. :'(

You can call freephone (0800/0808/0500) numbers from your mobile and be billed as a geographic call by using a dial through provider with a geographic number. One is 020 0222 0900. Ring this number and when it answers, input the destination freephone number. This will work with any freephone number.


If you're still looking for an alternative, then what's the administration address, the name of underwriter and any other information that might lead us to an alternative?

Do you have paperwork provided by SafeGuard?

Check in the small print or the contact details sometimes they include a landline number. Alternatively do you have a landline?

If you do call them from your landline and ask them for an 01/02 number they may give it to you.

If you look on Swinton's one there is a 0800 and 01 number,

Perhaps Safeguard's is the same?

If you call the number your find its an emergency  claims line,not a breakdown number confirmed by http://www.swinton.co.uk/contact/
