Can anybody help finding a UK geo number for Murrell Timber?
22 St James Square Bath BA1 2TS TEL UK: 0871 717 4177 TEL FR: +33 (0) 6 75 27 22 37 http://www.murrelltimber.co.uk The 0871 seems to go to a foreign ring tone, possibly the French number given on the website. Thank you. |

Sounds to me like the French number could be the alternative! It's a mobile number BTW, which you might like to know as it might affect the cost to call. Do you know what the connection with this company is to France? As shown on the website, what does "SBTDC" stand for? |

Thanks Dave.
Apparently they import timber & timber products from France. I`ve no idea what the SBTDC stands for. |

St James' Square does not look the likely location for a timber merchant! I suggest that this could be the home address of the proprietor. |

Whois murrelltimber.co.uk returns:

This address also appears to be residential. The Wayback Machine has the company's contact page as it was in September 2004: http://web.archive.org/web/20040901040815/www.murrelltimber.co.uk/ Quote:
So they've used the 0871 number for a long time. Googling this PO Box's post code returns the name Simon McDonagh in connection with Murrell Limited along with the 0871 number and French landline number +33 5 45 36 22 57. This is similar to the one found above (12 digits before). If they work out in France most of the time, then probably explains why the 0871 number goes there. Or it might be that the 0871 number is redirected as they move from one country to another. There might therefore be no UK geographic number (other than the proprietor's UK residential number, for example). |

Well what do you know... Put into Google "simon mcdonagh" "01225" and up pops one result:

Google the 01225 number and it gives a page which says it's for a different address with a different name, so you will have to see whether it's been passed on. If so, then I will remove it from this thread to stop others making the same mistake. :-/ [edit]The 01225 number is a private unconnected number - see next posting from mainbass.[/edit] |

Thanks for the heroic effort Dave. However, I can report that the 01225 number is a private residential one & not that of Mr McD. |

Thanks for the feedback. I've removed all instances of it in this thread with notes to advise that it is unconnected with the company we are concerned with. I repeat what I said above; that they might work from France and the French ringing tone on the 0871 number suggests this to be the case. To re-cap, thus far we the following possible numbers: Two French landlines: +33 5 45 36 22 57 and +33 5 45 36 22 69 and two French mobiles: +33 6 21 74 49 49 and +33 6 75 27 22 37. |
