Title: Exeter / Devon Hospitals Post by doddyvision on Sep 20th, 2011 at 9:10pm
Has anyone got any landline numbers for Exeter (Wonford) Hospital? The number my Wife used to contact her seriously ill Father 07040282710 cost £1.00 per minute from her mobile which is daylight robbery. I intend to launch a complaint in the morning and will post all I can find out on this forum.. In the meantime any help with sensible numbers for Newton Abbott / Exeter Wonford / Moretonhamptead Cottage Hospitals will be greatly appreciated. :-[

This request is not actually about the contact number used by the hospital itself, but about the scandalous use of Premium Rate numbers to support the bedside phone service offered to patients.
Now that it has been recognised that there is rarely any problem with use of mobile phones in wards, the previous suggestion in response is the answer for many cases. In general it is best for a patient to be equipped with their own, or a borrowed, mobile phone. In some cases, ward staff will connect personal calls or pass messages, however each bed does not have an extension on the hospital switchboard. |
