Title: Talktalk begging for more B/B Customers
Post by speedy on Dec 12th, 2011 at 11:11pm
A very amusing thing happened to me last week - ring at doorbell - Young man asked if I had had my letter about Free B/B - I said no

Apparantly I could now have Free B/B - said not interested -I asked who are you from BT ? (suspecting a scam) he said no Talktalk - I said I was happy paying £11.99 pmonth - he asked who with - I told him Fast.co.uk. - he'd never heard of them - I said no because Fast reviews are end to end good whereas BT and Talk are end to end complaints.

And that both of their Support couldn't get within a million miles of Fast.

Talk have now got their gear in our local Exchange - I wondered why there was so many Engineers bums sticking out of all our line boxes. It has come to something that they are reduced to cold calling every door locally to get Customers.

Also it may explain why several people tried phoning me and it would give one ring or none and cut off - and there seamed to be a bit of noise on the line recently - this was before the Cold Call - now maybe I know why.  >:(

Perhaps it has at last got through to them that maybe hopefully next year they will lose most of their GP Customers
- Well we can but hope  ;D

If TalkTalk have unbundled your exchange  then you can still get on the network through a reseller, in most cases this means you can access the TT infrastructure without having to endure TT's support, billing or throttling. The resellers are small customer focused businesses that have been (and still are) successfully providing broadband services from a number of providers depending on local conditions at the various exchanges around the country

So you can be "on" TT without being "with" them. For more details check out the resellers forum at Thinkbroadband.com. If TT had unbundled my exchange when they planned this county I would be using the route above as TT will be the only 24 meg service on most of the exchanges in this county.

Its worth checking out. Hope this helps someone.
