Looking for a non 0844 number for this GP's surgery. Briarwood Medical Centre

Ashton
Preston
PR2 1HY

It has it's own web presence which is http://www.briarwoodmedicalcentre.co.uk/index.aspx but unable to find a traditional landline number (01772 ......) for the practise. Not the only one to find contacting this GP a triffle expensive as this comment on NHS choices proves. http://www.nhs.uk/servicedirectories/gp/pages/gpratingsandcomments.aspx?pid=3F1460D5-4789-4E18-9FF6-3363791828E7. With your help, maybe we can make the cost of getting medical attendance, that little bit cheaper for everyone  :)

I notice on their web site,  http://www.briarwoodmedicalcentre.co.uk/contact1.aspx they have 0870 066 2789  calling from abroad.

This number is included on some packages and you may get away with calling this number. Put 141 before it. ;)

I put together a guide to cracking these doctors systems.

Looking on the surgery's own website, the district numbers number is given on the staff page (Healthcare Team tab), 01772 777169.

I came across this page on the website of Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust. It says that this number and other 77716x numbers belong to Ashton Health Centre of Peddars Lane, so I suggest that this is likely not to be useful here.
