When I rang this number this evening, a female asked who I was and I agreed that I didn't know who she was. That was as far as it went !!
Never cost me anything to call and even if it does, it won't be more than a normal basic call rate. How it's cost you more than the 30 seconds or so that I was on the line, I don't understand. What did you find to talk to her about ?? I take it that she called you and initiated the sequence ? Didn't you get some idea of what she wanted ? Tell you what ! The next time she rings you, ask her who she is and what she wants, then you can tell us all and put us out of our misery. Have a prosperous New Year and remember the old adage, Nil carborundum illegitimi |

I cannot believe you said this in reference to an 0845 number ;) |

Unless I am missing something hear, calls to 0845 numbers are as follows
Up to 13.5p connection fee and then a per minute fee usually 0.4p or there abouts depending on the provider. What does DaveM mean when he suggests basic rate. Ok BT customers have 0845 included in their call bundle but it still costs money. I would appreciate clarification on this please as I am not sure of all telecoms call charges |

4p perhaps, not 0.4p! |

A common misplacement of the decimal point. Where there is a possibility of confusion, I prefer to always write currency as decimals of its main unit - so write 4p as £0.04 and half a penny (a ha'penny to those of us of more advanced years) as £0.005, not 0.5p or ½p. |
