Thanks for posting about this. Following on, I have tidied up the entries we have for Thomas Cook.

I have cleared out non-working numbers for Thomas Cook branches as well as for Going Places (which Thomas Cook purchased). The entries list their current 0844 number which replaced the 0845 numbers (and replaced 0870s for Going Places).

Also operated by Thomas Cook are Airtours, Direct Holidays and MyTravel, which I have tagged most of these with Thomas Cook.

There is still much to do. The main/central numbers for Thomas Cook remain pretty much as they were (it is mainly branches that I focused on). These entries list only 0870 numbers, and Thomas Cook decided to move to 0871/0844 to continue charging customers when service charges were removed from 0870 a few years back. So if someone knows (or wishes to research) the 0871/0844 numbers used by Thomas Cook as its national reservations line, customer services line, then please post them and I will update the listings accordingly.

I have had a clear out of Thomas Cook numbers that are, for various reasons, no longer suitable alternatives.

I post them here for the record as they may yield clues to finding new numbers:

• 01733 335500 - Previously verified as Customer Services - Now answered with a recording which identifies it as Thomas Cook and apologises that the were unable to contact you previously and will try again. The call drops out with no option to speak to anyone or leave a message.
  
  01733 335501 says that calls may be recorded and then puts the call into a queue; no identification of the company or department.
   
  
• 01324 565289 - Now Thomas Cook Sales Centre Staff Contact Line - Previous went to a customer services menu with options for existing bookings, new bookings and flight tickets.
  
  It was listed as a verified alternative for M&S Travel Club whose published number is 0844 879 8053. It was also a secondary general customer services alongside 01733 335500 above.
  
  It was also listed as unverified for Flexible Trips which is part of Thomas Cook. And it was also listed unverified as an alternative to 0871 664 7994 which was given as being Thomas Cook.

It will be much appreciated if members could do the some more work on the entries for Thomas Cook. In particular, the sourcing of the published 08 numbers that the Company uses and their purposes.

Unverified is the alternative 020 3027 5100 which is answered as "Thomascook.com" and gives the options: 1. Existing booking 2. New reservation. Other nearby numbers may belong to Thomas Cook as well and this presents a potential avenue for investigation.

I've had a clear out of numbers for Thomas Cook. The following numbers are now unobtainable:

Also 01274 387713 / 26

Working numbers for Customer Relations are 01274 387732 / 991.

01274 387425 says that the department is closed, even during the daytime.

01274 387632 is Predeparture Services.
