I just wanted to ask what plans the site management have to deal with the massive problem they now have with numbers that were originally once 0845 or 0871 numbers that have now changed to 0844?

This means that when people search for the geographic alternative for an 0844 number they will not find there are any alternatives in many cases, even though if they search for the company or body by name only they will find geographic alternatives for the old 0845 and 0871 numbers that still work as alternatives for the new 0844 number.

To the experienced user of this site making this connection may seem obvious and not present a problem but to the novice user expecting the 0844 number they are looking up to have a direct alternative in the database it is likely to cause some issues.  So perhaps the search robot needs to be enhanced to ask for both a company name and the non geographic number for which an alternative is wanted and where no alternative for the current 0844 number is found in the database then the nearest matches for that company by geographic name search should be offered instead.

I just thought it worth pointing out what must now be a very major problem for the database which the cynical powers that be at a combination of Ofcom and the telcos have so cynically managed to inflict on us.
