A survey carried out by WeQ4U shows some of the longest waiting times at UK call centres.

The Sun has done a piece on this today... "1hr 8min to moan at easyJet"

This story was discussed on today's Radio Wales Phone-in one hour in at 1pm.

Also, there is a Telegraph story EasyJet and BA call centres criticised.

Sky customer services, which must be one of the most popular alternatives on SayNoTo0870 comes in fourth.

At the other end of the scale the best call centre must surely be First Direct. A real, intelligent and helpful human answers your call 24/7, usually within a few seconds.

Not only are they at the end of the phone 24/7 they're also on Twitter 24/7  :).

didnt the sun ring the DWP then?

ring any time after 3pm and you be lucky to get answered by the time it cuts off in the evening.  I think I had a call on hold for 3hrs 40mins 3 weeks ago on 0845.
