Title: East Sussex County Council Parking
Post by CJT-80 on Apr 21st, 2013 at 5:53pm
Good Evening,

East Sussex County Council now administer parking on behalf of Eastbourne, Hastings and Lewes Councils.

The all have 1 contact number provided 0845 680 1129.

Based on information here and here we have already located one suitable alternative to the 0845 number for Eastbourne.

We now have one for Lewes 01273 477105. It's been tested this evening and has an answerphone advising they are closed.

Hastings Parking Shop who are based in St Leonards maybe slightly more tricky, as they used to be dealt with by Hastings Borough Council and are now dealt with by NSL.

Dave perhaps you can amend the current entry for this 0845 number to include the additional info?

:)

If there is a single 0845 number for all areas then are all calls not dealt with at the same location? If so then how come there are alternatives for each area? Are these to places that the 0845 number doesn't go to?

Hi Dave.

An IVR Menu answers when you call, and appears to have 3 options.  1 Each for Eastbourne, Hastings and Lewes I believe.

I assume it then redirects the call to the appropriate 01 number for the area you select.

Thanks. I've updated the listings.

I have also made a posting on the thread for East Sussex County Council in the Government and Public Sector section of the forum. It's four years since the Council exchanged its 0845 numbers for 0345 ones, but this one remains.

If it is to continue using a 0845 number, when will it be declaring the Service Charge?
