Another one I stumbled across whilst checking some rates.
Opus use 0843/0845/0800 Numbers. They say " *All calls received by Opus Energy are recorded for training and verification purposes and are charged at local rates." http://www.opusenergy.com/contact-us/ |

It looks as if this has been changed as the sentence ends at "verification purposes". :-? |

Readers might like to note that another of the smaller energy providers, namely First Utility, use only GEOGRAPHIC NUMBERS, 01932 .... Perhaps they should be in the Hall of Fame?
Incidentally First Utility are still offering a fixed tariff for 18 months which is lower than all the Big Six are charging prior to their recently announced 8-11% increases. One must ask -- if a small company can fix its prices at such a lower level how is it that the Big Six all state that they have no option but to increase their prices due to external factors such as the wholesale market price??? It seems someone is being economical with the truth. :-? ::) >:( And I would also like to add that some people noted that whilst giving evidence to the Parliamentary Select Committee one of the Big Six executives claimed that their profit levels were reasonable by comparison with the Mobile Phone Companies profit levels. Some were heard to say "it takes one greedy rip-off industry to know another!" 8-) |

That would be me, I emailed them yesterday after seeing bigjohn's post pointing out their inaccuracies, and lo and behold they have changed it pretty quickly, although they have not acknowledged my email. . |

Well done Derrick, you are always one to take action and not just sit around complaining. :) Not acknowledging emails seems to be endemic with many large companies these days. I told Facebook about a serious fault in their system and they corrected it BUT failed to answer my message or even to acknowledge it! Ignorant Ba......s! >:( |

I have also taken Asda-Travel on, (your thread here: http://www.saynoto0870.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.cgi?num=1382929131), no response from Asda-travel so I have passed it to the ASA for them to take action. . |
