Title: Virgin Media Price Increases Feb 2014 . Post by bigjohn on Nov 12th, 2013 at 5:30pm
Virgin Media customers will see bills rise by 6.7% from February 2014,and speeds will be increased.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24911042 "While the speed increases will likely be welcomed by customers, the average price increase of 6.7 percent across Virgin Media’s broadband, phone (fixed-line, but not mobile) and TV packages is unlikely to please many people. Customers will start to see increases in their bills from February, around the same time the speed boosts will be introduced, Virgin Media said." http://thenextweb.com/uk/2013/11/11/virgin-media-set-boost-customers-broadband-speeds-mitigate-6-7-average-price-hike/ |

The key price rises are as follows:
Line rental: Will increase by £1/month, from £14.99 to £15.99. Broadband and line rental bundles: Will increase by £2/month. Local geographic calls outside of call plans: Will increase from 9.94p/minute to 10.60p/minute. From 25 November Virgin Media's line rental saver, which allows customers to pay upfront for a year's line rental at a discounted price of £120, saving £60/year compared to its standard line rental, will also increase to £128. Virgin Media says you have 30 days from receiving a letter or email informing you of the price rises to tell it you want to leave your contract – in which case, you'll be able to do so penalty-free. |
