Local Phone are now only charging 1.8p a minute to call UK mainstream mobile numbers with  no connection charge.

Open a payg account at http://www.localphone.com/call/united_kingdom
nominate the mobile number you wish to call and they will replace it with a geographical number.

Handy for landline callers who have inclusive landline minutes .

They will allocate you a  local to you geographical 01/02 number for each destination that you call. The number points directly at the target number,no connection charge from them, no recorded announcement with instructions.You only pay if the target numbers answers or goes to voicemail.Unlike 0844 access numbers where you start paying as soon as you hit recorded announcement. If your not calling the geographical number from inclusive minutes,you do of course add the cost of that call.  :)

Their are also a number of other ways to use the service.EG Callback,and i can think of more applications for service.

I have set it up so my other half can call my mobile from my landline inclusive minutes at 1.8p a minute.

You can also buy bundles and cut cost of calls further.
